Avon Haul!!!!!

It is once again, that time of the month when i do my Avon Haul of the month. It is one of my favourite hauls to do as i love the Avon products, and I'm super excited to show you what i have got. I'm just going to point out that five of the items that i have, i actually don't know the prices for as they came in a Makeup Bargain bag, also I'm not sure if they are discontinued products or not, but i shall find out and let you know. I will leave the link to the Avon Online shop in case you want to check that out...Enjoy...

Free Beauty Pack
So the first thing i got was this beauty pack, this was an exclusive offer with the first brochure/campaign of this month. What you get is a lip gloss and a nail polish with a makeup bag. I chose the romantic pastels pack, but as you can see i don't actually have the lip gloss as it is coming with the next order. The nail polish is in a super pretty shade called romance which is a beautiful pastel pink-lilac that i can't wait to try.
Ultra Colour Lipstick - Hollywood Siren - £5.25 Discontinued
The second thing i ordered was this lipstick from the Sale brochure. This is the Hollywood Collection Ultra Color lipstick in the shade Hollywood Siren. This has now been discontinued and won't appear in the brochures again. I think i have an addiction to red lipsticks guys, i have at least 8 of them, ha-ha. This is a beautiful dark red shade which i can't wait to experiment with.
Pore Penetrating black mineral mask- £3.00
The next thing i ordered is this face mask. It's the black mineral pore penetrating mask. I love the Avon skincare ranges as they do many a product to suit you're skin type. This was raved about on the Avon Connects website so i thought i would pick it up and try it.
Avon Colortrend Boost It Mascara - £2.50
This mascara is a new addition to Avon's Colortrend range. Colortrend is an affordable range with some awesome products, many of which i have tried out over the years i have been buying from Avon. I really like the Colortrend mascara's and I can't wait to try this out.
Colortrend Lip Stix - Just Peachy - £2.50
The final thing before i show you the products from the Bargain bag, is this lip product from Colortrend. It's the Lip Stix in the shade Just peachy which is a stunning everyday lip colour, especially if you want a natural look. I've tried the Lip Stix before in the shade Coral You Later and i honestly didn't like it. But hopefully this one might just change my opinion. I will let you know how i get on with it, in a later post.

Now onto the Bargain bag goodies!!! YAY!!! I absolutely love picking up the bargain bags from the Sale Brochures. I always pick up the makeup one, but i really want to pick up the Jewelry and Sale one as well. I will probably do so with the next brochure that has a Sale booklet. Anyway..I'm rambling..oops, The makeup bargain bags, give you a selection of five products from the Avon ranges, that add up to approximately £25, and the bets thing is, it reminds me of those lucky bags you would get as a kid, because you don't know what you are going to get. Here's what I received in the bag...
True Colour Eyeshadow Duo - Powerful Copper
First Impressions of this, It's really nice. The product has True Colour technology meaning that whatever the colour is in the pan or bullet (Lipstick, eyeshadow etc) that is the colour that you see on you, if you get what I mean. I don't like when you buy a product and the colour is slightly different than what you actually get. Anyway, these colours are a reddish orange copper shade and a black. It's given me an idea for an eyeshadow look.
Ideal Flawless Light Foundation - Fair
The next thing is a foundation. Now I'm not a big fan of the Avon foundation as my shade tends to look a bit too dark for my skin tone. I swatched this on my jaw and it completely matches my skin tone. You could barely see it on my skin. I'll definitely be using this.

Nailwear Pro+ - Lucky Penny
The first of three nail polishes. This is the Nailwear Pro+ in the colour Lucky Penny. This is a similar shade to the colour in the eyeshadow Duo. I'll definitely try this one out once I've gotten the rest of my false nails off ha-ha.
Nailwear Pro+ - Garden Green
The second Nail polish is in the colour Garden Green. I've never really tried green nail polish, so i can't wait to see how this looks. It's a really nice shade for spring.
Speed Dry Nail Enamel - Smokey Plumes

The final product is the Speed Dry Nail Enamel in the colour Smokey Plumes. I'm going to keep this shade for Autumn/Winter as it's a dark grey-plum colour and i think it will look better then than now.

That's all for today's post. I will be back next Saturday with my work experience post, as I can't upload during the week. Thanks for reading. I'll leave my social media links below for you to check out as well as the Avon Online Shop.

RIP Dawn

Today is an extra special post dedicated to someone who was a real inspiration to me, and who i was lucky enough to meet. Dawn Brancheau was a Killer Whale trainer at SeaWorld Orlando, and sadly on this day five years ago, she passed away after being killed by one of the whales that she loved so much.
I didn't know Dawn personally, but she was and still is an inspiration to me. When i met her in Shamu Underwater Viewing in April of 2005, I told her that i wanted to work with Whales at SeaWorld and be just like her. She said to me 'If You believe in you're dreams, you will succeed, and hopefully we will work together someday'. The Day i met her was one of the most amazing days of my life. Why, because not only did i meet Dawn, but she also helped me interact with three Killer Whales that were in the pool at the time. Katina, Kalina and Takara. Katina is the Matriarch of the Orlando Pod, Kalina was the original baby Shamu, she passed away in September 2010 and would have been 30 this year, and Takara, who was nearing the end of her second pregnancy with her calf Trua, she now lives at SeaWorld San Antonio in Texas. Dawn helped me interact with them and taught me a few basic hand signals such as asking the whales to stick their tongues out of waving their pectoral flippers. I remember Takara being so playful even though she was in her fifteenth or sixteenth month of pregnancy. Kalina was also playful, and Katina was occasionally coming up to the glass, unlike Kalina and Takara who pretty much stayed at the glass viewing area watching Dawn, Myself and My Grandma.
I will always remember Dawn, I support the foundation that her family set up in her Name, and i still want to be a trainer just like her, and i'm doing more everyday to achieve that. If you have any dreams or ambitions, just remember what Dawn said to me. 'Believe in you're dreams and you will succeed'.

Thankyou for reading. I will leave the links to Dawn's foundation below along with my social media links.I will also leave you with a video of Dawn doing what she did best, performing with the killer whales she loved with all of her heart. (credit to the youtube channel who uploaded this video)
I will be back in a few days with another post.

What's in My Makeup bag?

Hi Everyone, So for this post i will be showing you what is in my makeup bag. I love watching videos and reading posts on this to get inspiration for my makeup bag. The majority of it is drugstore with one high end product...let's get started...

Brushes
So my Makeup brushes are all from Real Techniques. I am in love with the Real Technique brushes as they are multi purpose and you can use them for different tasks. My favourite has to be the expert face brush. I can't wait to try the Bold metals Collection.
Base Products
These are my base products. On the left i have my Maybelline baby skin primer. I'm not a massive fan on the texture of this but it works to ensure my makeup lasts longer than it normally would without it. In the middle i have my Maybelline Better Skin foundation, I love this foundation, it has a light to medium coverage and is overall an awesome foundation. This replaced my Rmmel Wake Me Up foundation in my makeup bag. On the right is my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer. This is what i use most days when i don't want to have a load of makeup on my face. I love the consistency and the coverage and is better than the Collection Lasting perfection concealer.
Powder and Blusher
My powder and blusher are both from Avon. I love them both. The powder is great for setting my makeup and the blusher is a beautiful pink with gold flecks. Its like a dupe for one of the Mac Mineralise Skin finishes, but i'm not sure which one. The blusher was limited edition and has since been discontinued fom Avon.
Eye Products
Eye products wise, I  have two mascaras, a gel eyeliner, a pencil eyeliner and a brow pencil. The first mascara is from Maybelline and its the big eyes mascara. I love that it has a brush fro both the upper and lower lashes. The second mascara is a waterproof one by NYC which i use a lot. The gel eyeliner is also by Maybelline, i've sort of mastered it but i'm still learning. The pencil eyeliner and the brow pencil are both from Avon. They are the Always on Point Eyeliner in Black and the Glimmersticks Brow Definer in Dark Brown.
Lips
The final three products are for lips. I have my Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in the shade Walk of Shame, which is a you're lips but better shade. I've heard Perrie from Little Mix uses this. The second lipstick is a Limited Edition Kate Moss lipstick in Red Nose Red.. Kate created this especially for Comic Relief. The lipliner is by Avon, it's the glimmersticks lip liner in True Red.

That's all for this post. I'll be back soon with an extra special post on the 24th.
I'll leave my social media links for you to check out and follow.

Valentines Day 2015!!!!

Happy Valentines Day lovely people!!!! I am not the biggest fan of Valentines day as once again I am dateless!! :( But, being single on Valentines Day is okay. One year i would like a Valentine :)
Anyway, for those of you, like me who are single on Valentines day, here are a few options you can do...
You could go and watch Fifty Shades of Grey at the Cinema with some friends, You could go on a night out with friends for a meal or to a nightclub, or if you're like me and you're friends are all loved up this valentines day, you can have a movie night on your own, which is exactly what I will be doing.
My movie night picks for tonight are surprisingly not Chick-Flicks. I've got Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part one and two, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Dolphin Tale and Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home. I'm also ordering in my favourite Texaco Pizza, a bottle of  Caribbean Twist, and i have a bunch of other junk food. I think it will be a good night haha :)

That's all for me from this post, I shall write again in a few days.
I hope you all have an awesome Valentine's Day whatever you're doing.

My Top 5 drugstore/highstreet makeup products

I love highstreet/drugstore makeup, always have and always will do. I love that there is so much choice in brands, and there is something to suit your budget. So i decided to put together my top 5 drugstore and high street makeup products for you. I apologise now that I am not too sure of the prices and I hope you like my picks. SO lets get started....
L'oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Blake's pure Red
My first pick is this beautiful red lipstick from L'oreal Paris. It's the Color Riche Pure Red  in Blake Lively's shade. I think this colour is absolutely beautiful. It's slightly darker than the classic pillarbox red , but still a beautiful colour. The texture is amazing, it's matte, and it lasts for ages and i think its around £6.99 , its one of my favourites alongside the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks.
Avon Marbleised powder blush - £5.5o - Discontinued
My Second pick is from Avon. I am a huge fan of Avon and the wide variety of products that they offer, from Makeup, to Skincare, to Clothing and Jewellery. I adore this blusher as its so beautiful, sadly I think its been discontinued as i haven't seen it in the brochures for a while and i picked up mine from the sale brochure. The packaging is beautiful and classy, the colour is stunning, shades of pink with gold running through it. I used this a lot and it replaced my MUA Mosaic blusher in English Rose in my makeup bag.
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara - Rebel Black - £6.99 or £7.99
My third pick is one of two i picked out from Maybelline. I love Maybelline, it is one of my favourite drugstore brands. I especially love this mascara and the fact it has two wands - one for upper lashes and one for lower lashes. If your like me and always seem to get mascara on everywhere when applying it to your lower lashes then this mascara is definitely worth the purchase. This is one of two mascara's in my makeup bag, i also have the travel size Urban Decay Perversion mascara which i love as well.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer - 001 Ivory - £5.99 or £4.99
My fourth pick is this concealer from Rimmel. I struggled to choose between this one and the Collection lasting perfection concealer which i know a lot of bloggers and youtubers rave about. I find the Collection one has a thick consistency and is sometimes quite drying on my skin, so i'll only use it if i want extra coverage on areas where i need it Most of the time i do use the Wake me Up concealer as i find it gives the right amount of coverage for everyday, and its just the right consistency.
Maybelline Better Skin foundation - 005 Light Beige - £6.99
My fifth and final pick and the second Maybelline pick is this foundation. I absolutely love it. I find it quite hydrating on my skin and it provides a natural looking finish with a light to medium coverage. Its perfect for everyday wear, and it replaced the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in my makeup bag.

That's all from me for today, i shall be back writing tomorrow with a Valentine's Day themed post.
What are your Top 5 drugstore makeup picks?

University Post 5: 2nd Submission, Results, Work experience and Half term

Hey everyone, so i'm back with another post in my university series. I also wanted to apologise as i said in my last post that today would be a double update, sadly it won't as I am ill :( instead i will post today, tomorrow and saturday to make up for it.
First things first on the agenda for this post, is that i submitted my second essay, this time it was for cruise. Now, I'm not going to lie...but this essay was an absolute nightmare. Why, you might ask? Because of three things...Critical analysis, Harvard referencing and finding information in general. I highly dislike the first two...and i didn't put much critical analysis into my essay..but i'm not too bothered.
Second thing, I got my grade back for my Tour Operations essay. I got 50% which I'm quite happy with. It was better than last years grade for the first essay.
Third thing, On the first week in March, I am doing a weeks Work Experience placement, to tie in with my research project/mini dissertation on 'Effective Teamwork in the Workplace'. I am spending a week at Abbeycroft Veterinary Centre, which is literally two minutes away from my house. i will be working a 9am-5pm shirt with an hour for Lunch. I don't know exactly what i'll be doing but I'm really excited about it.
Finally, I am on half term until the 24th of February, then i'm literally in that day and the 25th then i'll be off till the 10th March due to the New York Trip (which sadly I'm not going on..but i wish i was) and my work experience.

That's all for todays post; i'll be back again tomorrow with a Beauty related post.
I'll leave my Social Media links for you to check out and maybe follow and i'll write tomorrow

Welcome to February!

Hi Everyone...Welcome to February!!! I know i should have done this post yesterday but i have no laptop seeing as i haven't replaced my broken laptop charger yet :( I can't believe its the second month of the year already...to me that means theres only four months till i finish Uni and six months till i graduate...believe me its a bloody scary thought.
Anyway...so far in the first two days of february, a few things have happened. Yesterday, Mum and I went to Wetherspoons in Northwich with my Aunt and Uncle for mums belated birthday meal. Also yesterday i finished The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. This morning, I started Clockwork Princess and one of my acrylic nails snapped off, leaving half of  the nail on...and i'm trying to find a way of getting these acrylics off as they are getting annoying. If anyone has or knows a way of getting acrylic nails off then please let me know. :)
My plans for the month include several blog posts, an essay submission, going to see Fifty Shades of Grey at the end of the month and staying at my Dad's this weekend before he flies off the Abu Dhabi again on the 10th for ten days.
What are your plans for February?
Let me know via twitter or in the comments below.
Thats all for today's post, i'll write again in a few days
