New Years Resolutions!!

Hi Everyone!!! its a double update today as I haven't posted in a good few days :(. i am not the best when it comes to keeping and sticking to New Years Resolutions, so i have carefully thought about some things that i would like to achieve in 2015 and made those my New years resolutions. Here we go...

1) Be more active on social media - This i will definitely stick with, as i really want to connect with you guys that read my blog. I'll leave my social media links below so you can check those out. I will post a lot more on instagram and twitter as well. 

2) Pass and graduate year 2 of my foundation degree - this i am hoping to do but will most likely struggle with. I will be honest, I am getting to the point where i am literally annoyed with the words travel and tourism. if i could quit, i honestly would, BUT  as there are only five months left till i finish i am going to stick with it and hopefully graduate. 

3) Lose weight - this is a classic new years resolution that i always make but never really stick to. but as i have a few important events coming up throughout 2015, i want to look a little bit better than i do already. aha. 

4) Drink more water and eat healthier - this is another resolution that i always make but never stick to. this time i am going to stick with it. it is known that i do love my sweet stuff like marshmallows and chocolate but i do want to eat healthier and drink more water. 

5) be more consistent with my blog -  this is another one i will most definitely stick with. i have so many posts planned for the next few months, that i will be posting on a more regular basis. i just hope you guys are excited for whats to come with this blog.

My Highlights of 2014!!!

Hi Everyone!! Happy New Years Eve!!! I cannot believe it is already the end of 2014. the year has gone so fast. I hope you all had an amazing christmas, and you got everything that you asked for. I do apologise for not posting my Christmas Day #OOTD - my photo taking was quite ridiculous and blurry, except for the selfies i took with my Mum. They turned out quite funny.
Anyway, this post is going to be my top five highlights of 2014. i've had many a highlight and a few lowlights this year, but i put together my top five highlights to share with you.
1) Passing my first year of my foundation degree - This is a highlight for me because I really wasn't sure if i was going to pass.I struggled quite a bit with some of the assignments, but in the end i was lucky enough to pass.
2) Turning 19 - Turning 19 was pretty awesome. I spent my birthday with my mum, and had visits from some family members and friends. i also saw my dad at 9pm that day as he'd been working. Overall it was a happy memory and highlight for me.
3) Starting my blog back in September - One thing that is definitely a highlight for Me is starting this blog, just a few months ago. I'd done blogs before but got bored really easily with it or just forgot to post, so for me to still be posting now is pretty good for me. I really hope to get some feedback from you guys on twitter and on blogger as to what you want to see on the blog, and I would love to connect with you guys more.
4) Road trip to Bedford with Dad - I have many a funny memory from this trip. being picked up from home at 5am, Dad having Gangnam style ON REPEAT for about 3 hours (next road trip - please don't do that dad), going to watch the high jump at the athletics ground. it was a pretty awesome day.
5) Christmas Day 2014 - My favourite highlight was last week on Christmas Day. i loved spending time with all my family - especially those who i haven't seen in ages, like my uncle and Aunt who live in Leeds, and my cousin who lives down in London. It was lovely getting together and having christmas Dinner, and bonding and just having a laugh.

My Plans for Christmas :)

Hi Everyone, so as I probably wont be able to have access to a computer after today, until after Christmas I thought I would share with you my plans for Christmas. So on Monday I  am going to be spending the day with my dad. We are off to Manchester to do A LOT  of Christmas shopping. He's been away in Dubai for the last few weeks working so I haven't had the chance to spend time with him, so that should be fun. Then Monday night i am going Midnight Shopping to tescos with my mum, which will probably be catastrophically hilarious, knowing us. Then Christmas Eve mum and i are having a little party for ourselves, playing music and dancing like idiots. Christmas Day, we are going to my Aunt's house to spend the day with all the family.

I was supposed to upload an #OOTD for Christmas day but i won't be able to do that until next saturday...i'm sorry, i will make it up to you guys. :)

Christmas update!!!!

Hey everyone, so I thought I would do a christmas update as I haven't posted in a few days. I am not prepared for christmas at all!!! As always, we've left the majority of the christmas shopping to the last minute. Christmas presents for the women in my family are all done, we still have to get the males in my family something except for my dad as i've got his sorted. I also still need to buy something for my lovely mum which I'm hopefully doing when I go to manchester with Dad on Saturday. However my christmas plans have been confirmed and I will be posting my plans in an upcoming post, along with my new years resolutions.
Anyway, I'm sorry this post is short, it's not the best update as I've been called into work...but I should have another couple of posts in the next few days. MUA Twelfth Night: Winter Shades Palette Review!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!! So this is my first beauty related post....and its a review. In superdrug, they have loads of offers on the beauty counters, and i found the best offer was on the MUA counter. Their offer was spend £8 or more and get the Twelfth Night: Winter Shades palette free. I'd been wanting to try out some new eye shadow shades for the winter season but didn't want to spend a lot of money on palettes. So this offer was perfect. The palette itself if you didn't want to use the offer, is £4 which is an amazing price for an eye shadow palette. 

Simple but beautiful packaging ! 

 The palette itself has a simple packaging which enables you to see the colours clearly. On the back it has a chart of the colour names so you can see which shadow shades you are using. 
The colours themselves are absolutely beautiful. You get a mixture of matte and shimmer shades which are quite pigmented, but you can build them up to get the consistency that you want. 

I havent used all the colours yet but i've been loving using Ice as a highlighter in the inner corners of my eyes, along my cheek bones and on my cupids bow. I've also been using Star Shine or Enchant to line my top lash line instead of using liquid or gel eyeliner for a softer effect. My favourite combination of colours is Hush all over the lid, with Myrrh or Oudh in the crease and Enchant or Star Shine along my top and bottom lashline. 

Colours: Top Row:  Ice, Myrrh, Frost, Oudh, Coal, and Fir
Bottom row: Hush, All Spice, Ivy, Plum, Enchant and Star Shine.

University Series 3: Starting Assignments

Hi everyone and welcome back to my university series! So i don't really have much to say for this post except the fact that i have officially started doing assignments...I'm almost halfway through my Cruise essay and i'm waiting to get the Assignment that i missed from my tutor for Tour Operations...i was going to get it this week but then i realised that my tutor is in Disneyland Paris with the BTEC First years....i am jealous!!! (As you can probably tell i'm like a child when it comes to disney). Anyway..I'm sorry this post is really short, i have more posts coming up throughout the month of december. 5 things to do on a Sick Day!!!

Hi Everyone, So its around the time of year when people start developing colds and flu viruses so i thought i would put together a list of five things to do to on a sick day.

1: Read a book
There are so many styles of book out there,from  fantasy to gothic horror, to love stories and comedies. My personal favourites include the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins and the House of Night Series by PC and Kristen Cast.

2: Watch a Movie
Movies pass the time so quickly, i love having a movie marathon when i'm sick as i can get through three,four sometimes five movies. I pick the classic feel good movies such as Mean Girls, Wild Child, and Disney Movies such as Frozen and Brave.

3: Netflix
If you are lucky enough to have Netflix, then you can catch up on films or watch an entire series of your favourite shows. I'm hoping to get Netflix soon so i can watch Pretty Little Liars from the beginning.

4: Social Networking. 
Social Networking is another thing that passes the time by quickly. I could spend hours on Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. Not so much facebook but the others definitely.

5: EAT!!!
Food always makes me happy..especially when i'm sick. I try and eat healthily but sometimes i will enjoy a bar of Dairy Milk Chocolate or Metcalfe's Sweet 'n Salty popcorn. Tea is also good especially if you have a sore throat. Speaking of sore throats, Marshmallows are the best food to eat as the sugar takes the sandpapery feeling away.

Can you believe its december??

Hi Everyone!!!!!!!
Oh My Gosh!!! As of today it is the 1st of December!!! MERLIN'S BEARD THIS YEAR HAS GONE FAST!!! (Harry Potter reference there for all you potterheads). I am slowly but surely getting into the christmas spirit. I have christmassy songs on my Ipod, my town had its christmas light switch on where i met Elsa and Olaf from frozen..(i swear i'm such a child hahaha). Anyway...i have a few christmassy posts planned which will be uploaded throughout the month of december which i hope whoever reads this enjoys them. I'd better go as i kind of need to open my advent calendar.
There will be another post straight after this one as i was in the mood to do a double blog post.

University Post 2 and Children in Need!!!!

Hi Everyone, so First things first, Happy Children in Need day!!!!! I hope you all have an awesome day, and that you do something funny for money...or even donate. You can donate anything, small or big. My mum and i have both donate some money and my mum is going into work dressed up in 80's style fashion, she looks brilliant!!!
Anyway...going off topic there, welcome back to my university series :) I know this is only the second post but i do have slightly more to update with this time. I am now in my third month of my second year, and i'm finding it slightly tough. i have been off quite a bit for personal reasons but luckily i have managed to just about catch up on what i have missed. Two assignments have been launched and another one is being launched next week. I have started my research project for Work based unit, but have yet to contact anyone about doing work experience, i've made an attempt to start my cruise essay and next week my tutor for Tour Operations is launching our first assignment. Luckily we have quite a while to do them but i want to get them done and over with and not leave them to the last minute like I did last year...oops!!!

Luxury Marshmallows!!!

possibly the best marshmallows ever!!!

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to my blog! So a few days ago we had the Artisan Market on in Northwich, and whilst i was there I discovered The Magnificent Marshmallow Company. They do the most amazing marshmallows, in a variety of flavours. My favourite is the Saucy Strawberry ones, but there are flavours like blueberry, lemon, orange chocolate, mint, raspberry, coconut...there are so many to pick...i always struggle to choose a box but i always end up choosing the strawberry ones. I highly recommend them to everyone as they are just perfect, and reasonably priced. A single box is £3.50 or there is an offer for three boxes for £10. University Series 1: Introduction & First Month

Hi everyone, How are you all?? I apologise for not posting in a while as i've been super busy and ill :( But i will try and be more consistent with my blog posts now that my first month of university is done and dusted.
Anyway, as you can probably tell from the title of this post, i'm starting a university series that will document my last year at university/college. So, i'm currently studying Travel and Tourism Management as a foundation degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, but i'm not actually studying on campus. I'm an external student, which means i don't study at the uni campus, but at my local college instead. For me, that's mid Cheshire College in Northwich , Cheshire. So far i've been back for around five weeks, but i've only been in for three as i've been ill. It's definitely a lot tougher this year. More coursework, the tutors expect more of us, an exam in HRM (Human Resource Management), but we do graduate this year which i'm excited about.
Anyway, thats about all from me for this first post, as i haven't got that much to write about. The next post for this series will be around the end of this month, and i have an Avon Haul and a post on luxury marshmallows coming up in the next few days. Hiiii :')

Well Hey Everyone!!! I'm Katie and i guess i should just say Welcome to my blog!! This post will probably be a little bit boring as its the first one and i'm just saying hey to whoever decides to read this...(probably noone :( ). This post will be pretty short so i'm just gonna cut to the chase. I will try and post as often as I can if I'm not busy doing usiversity assignments or volunteering. I'll mainly be posting anything thats Fashion, beauty or Lifestyle related..buuuuut, knowing me there will probably be a really random post somewhere, HaHa.
